Dr. Chen graduated from Nankai University with a bachelor's degree in 2011 and has received the Tianjin Municipal Government Scholarship for two consecutive academic years. Subsequently, he was awarded the Singapore President’s Graduate Fellowship and studied in National University of Singapore for a doctorate. He graduated from National University of Singapore with a doctoral degree in 2016. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) from 2016 to 2018. He was selected as a young top talent of South China Normal University in 2018 and served as a professor. He joined the GPL Photonics Laboratory at Changchun Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences as a professor in January 2026. He was selected into the high-level talent plan of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, "The Young Pearl River Scholar" of Guangdong Province, and a high-level talent of Jilin Province. His main research directions include: research on highly efficient linear and nonlinear detection, storage, identification, and modulation of wideband and high-dimensional light field information and related applications. He has published 11 papers in tier 1 journals of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, including Nature Communications (2 papers), Advanced Materials (2 papers), Physics Reports, Advanced Functional Materials, Laser & Photonics Reviews, etc., 3 of them are highly cited ESI papers and 1 of them is ESI hot topic paper. His published papers have been cited more than 1200 times. Hs has been in charge of 10 scientific research projects, including normal project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, project supported by the Young Scientists Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (C type), project supported by the high-level talent program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, etc.
